Lowell Public Schools Summer Eats program underway

LOWELL — The Lowell Public Schools summer meals program began last week. On Mondays and Wednesdays, students can receive two breakfasts and two lunches. On Fridays, students receive meals for the weekend days.

Students can visit the STEM Academy Monday through Friday to receive meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They can also receive meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the following locations: Frederic T. Greenhalge Elementary School from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; Westminster Apartments from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; Charles W. Morey Elementary School from noon to 12:30 p.m.; Charlotte M. Murkland Elementary School from noon to 12:30 p.m.; and Lincoln Elementary School from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m.

LRTA Advisory Board to meet Thursday

LOWELL — The Lowell Regional Transit ity Advisory Board will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday. The board is scheduled to discuss the finance and facility directors’ monthly reports, as well as Administrator Jim Scanlan’s report. A presentation from engineering company AECOM on the Comprehensive Regional Transit Plan and the election of officers are also on the agenda.
