Habitat for Humanity to ‘Raise the Roof’ at fundraiser gala
LOWELL — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell will host its 12th annual Raise the Roof Gala on Friday, March 1, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center.
The night’s festivities will include a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, a three-course dinner and an inspirational program about how Habitat’s partner families’ lives have changed thanks to community support.
Raise the Roof is Habitat for Humanity’s biggest fundraiser. This year’s proceeds will enable Habitat to continue building five 凯发真人试玩首页homes in Westford and Lowell, as well as helping lower-income deserving families with critical 凯发真人试玩首页home repairs. Later in the year, plans include renovating a 凯发真人试玩首页home on Alpine Road in Billerica.
Early-bird tickets are $100 until Sunday, Feb. 24.

‘A Night to Open Doors’ benefits Catie’s Closet
ANDOVER — Catie’s Closet’s eighth annual gala, A Night to Open Doors, is Saturday, March 16, starting at 6 p.m., at Andover Country Club. The night will include dinner, dancing, auctions and a raffle.
The Dracut-based charity’s is to empower youths to succeed in school, to boost their confidence, and to help them achieve their full potential. Money raised from the Annual Gala supports the community by keeping children in school and on track to graduate.

MRT to announce 2019-2020 season at free event March 5
LOWELL — Merrimack Repertory Theatre will present its annual free season announcement and subscription party for the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, March 5, starting at 6 p.m., at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre at Liberty Hall.
At the event, Artistic Director Daniels will announce the seven shows planned for next season. The event will also include live musical performances, brief scenes from some of the upcoming plays, video greetings from the playwrights, champagne, light refreshments, and a chance to earn free ticket vouchers.
